Procedural Gear Stat Generator

The Procedural Gear Stat Generator was a prototype project that allowed me to investigate procedural content generation within loot-driven game systems. Inspired by the itemisation and progression mechanics found in Borderlands & Escape From Tarkov, I focused on developing a system capable of generating unique weapons with varying statistics and characteristics.

Throughout the project, I wanted to better understand how procedural systems can be used to create meaningful player choice and long-term engagement. Alongside implementing the generation mechanics themselves, I explored concepts such as balancing randomness, maintaining progression, and ensuring that generated equipment remained both useful and interesting to players. This project helped strengthen my understanding of gameplay systems design and the role that procedural content can play in enhancing replayability.
